"Moi! ;) That RMS rules guideline doesn't seem to be entirely trustworthy on footpath riding either with the last amendment passed - probably need to refer to legislation for better accuracy."

"Pretty sure the rule about staying seated was amended in the recent past to include standing - thinking it's just in the last 12~18 months and about the time Drunken got the arse."

"Top bar, handlebar, rear rack, anywhere but the seat..  But I guess you can ride standing up on the pedals. Getting off topic but: I saw a guy ride a bike without a seat once, maybe it broke, all the way from Orange to Bathurst on a Big Ride…"

"Does (c) mean you can't ride whilst seated on the top bar or something like that? I don't understand.... "

"As prescribed-that'd be RR245 245 Riding a bicycle The rider of a bicycle must: (a) be astride the rider's seat facing forwards (except if the bicycle is not built to be ridden astride), and(b) ride with at least 1 hand on the handlebars,…"

"Oh dear. It seems Mr O' and I have been guilty of this one: A cyclist must not ride a bicycle on any part of the Sydney Harbour Bridge other than the cycleway. Anyone else?"

"Handy...  this is comedy gold. 'Ride bicycle not seated as prescribed' - Who prescribes how you should be seated? 'Use wheeled recreational device/toy within 2m of vehicle' - this almost makes it impossible to use a wheeled…"
