I have been catching up with friends and family by riding from Canberra to Goulburn catching the train to either Springwood or Lithgow. I usually take the Federal Highway to Gollector then ride to Breadlebane and take the Hume Highway shoulder to Goulburn. The thing is touring is pretty much like commuting riding the same route gets boring. A while ago I asked if I should restore Iggy and the vibe seemed to be that the project should go ahead. I have begun with the purchase of an A-head converter & a handlebar stem from a local bike shop. I attempted to remove the old handlebar stem and basically suceeded in removing the bolt that held it in but not the actual stem itself.
I was able to remove the handlebars and put them on the new stem but the old stem remained stuck. I tried everything from twisting and turning and…

Thus far we have had 2 premiers of NSW who have put up what some would say are token efforts to cycling (Nathan Rees& Kristina Kenneally). I seem to remember the Liberals put up at least 1 candidate in Balmain who tried to make a zero emissions campaign and did a lot of work cycling to meetings etc - but I have forgotten his name!
