Cell 2200 Road bike for sale or to swap for a single-gear commuter

I have a Cell 2200, only rode it about 1200km and it mostly sits in the hallway. I want to replace it with a commuter single-gear to compliment with my 21speed commuter. Anyone in Sydney or environs interested?A great training or starter road bike with clips in the pedals, computer and a few other accessories.…See More

"Surely they can see the difference between a commuter's bike and an advertising bike? But considering the rambling, grammatically weak reply from the SFHA rep, maybe not surprising. But surely all they have…"

Joseph Ortenzi replied to Tom Nockolds's discussion Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority - crackdown on bicycle parking?
"Agree, It does look like they have been polite and helpful thus far.  The one thing to challenge however is : what purpose is this? What does it serve? Why can one not chain a bike to that location for a short period, i.e.: not overnight?"

Joseph Ortenzi replied to Tom Nockolds's discussion Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority - crackdown on bicycle parking?
"That would be covered by separate legislation and therefore not need to be covered under this clause.  Because a condition isn't described doesn't mean it is permitted in general. "

"If your locked bike obstructs a fire exit it deserves to be taken away, and some might say, destroyed, for being so inconsiderate. "

Joseph Ortenzi replied to Tom Nockolds's discussion Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority - crackdown on bicycle parking?
"Yes, a bike locked to a post is definitely more of an obstruction than the post is alone, especially when thew person locking it locks it so loosely that it rolls onto the ground, instead of looping the lock round a little more so it holds the bike…"

"I can sell my new Cell Swift road bike to you for 800.00 including Shimano pedals. I purchased this bike but because of recent back problems I am unable to ride it. The bike has all Shimano gearing and was recommended for 300 Km per week riding."

"thanks for the advice ubu. I prefer, I think to be more used to the bike though and want it to be familiar. So I'd want to have ridden a few 60-100km rides so it is very comfortable. But if I don't find anything reasonable I'll deffo…"

Just the one at the moment. Marin Novato, with a shortened handlebar so it is narrower than my shoulders. It helps get me through tight spots in traffic.

Been a city cyclist since about 1993, when I had a cannibalised bike in London. Prefer cycling the streets for commuting and to do things we usually use cars for.
