Very very sad to report the closure of City Bike Depot on Kent Street in the city. After 10 years of hard work and much dedication to the industry Hugh Flower has had to close the store. He is a true…Continue

I saw this and thought there is something in it. Not to develop a new tribe of cyclists but to try and broaden the idea. It feel it is in the vein of Copenhagenize.com. Does anyone have an idea that…Continue

A Merrida S'presso for the riding around town. The Nihola was added an electric boost by the lovely crew at Glow Worm Bicycle and a Yuba Mundo. Oh and I have a CX bike, from the City Bike Depot for a bit fun on weekends and a fixie to get around the city.
About Me:
Love the idea of bikes being part of life rather than just a form of exercise - though that is fun as well. We are not a tribe, we are all people trying to find our way home to a cold beer and a warm hug.

Umm, drool, swallow, gulp... just saw this.

Well done mate, a thing of sheer beauty. The paint, the colour, the anno Pauls, just wow.  Enjoy. (I think I may start layering up my ss onone pomp with lots of coloured paint and then start sanding back…)

Thanks Baa Baa. It is a very special bike but the journey on how it ended up in my care was also a magical experience for me. Some luck along the way helped, help from my friend Hugh Flower at City Bike Depot and Sacha and the crew a Vanilla. They do an amazing job and for me, just much my ideal of cycling.

On the speedbloggen.com they provide some breakdown on the idea's behind the paint job and how they used raised stencils to get the effect. If you are interested, and I think it would look very cool on you single speed, have a look. You might have a classic new look in the wings.

Having seen your instagram of the orphaned and disabled bike, it reminded me of this one that we saw in Oslo a few years ago.
