Kevin replied to PeterT's discussion Is this Bike-buster sign on Marsh St, Arncliffe legit ? What does it mean?
"Definitely ask Rockdale Council if it is legit - if so to explain it, otherwise ask that it be removed. Rockdale Council are pretty on the ball in following up questions like this."

Kevin replied to Melea's discussion child endangerment, verbally abused & filmed...
"I'm appalled by ACA's intimidation of you, and very worried about the consequence it might have if too many fooligans watched it and are influenced to continue the abuse you suffered. If you feel unsafe, maybe requesting a police escort…"

Kevin replied to robflyte's discussion The end of the M7 cycleway as we know it?
"Travel times probably mean there is less participation here from cyclists in the outer suburbs served by the M7. As a regular mid-week M7 cycleway rider, I'm very disappointed by the threat to the cycleway's integrity. The cycleway is well…"

Kevin replied to Andrew K's discussion Sydney Southern commuter information
"Good news - the signs are now up and this morning the lay-back was clear of cars around 9:00 am - first time in my memory that it's not been blocked. Slightly less good news - at 6:00 pm there was a car blocking half the lay back and clearly…"

Kevin replied to Martyn P's discussion Cycle lanes usage on 7 News at 6
"Think you're right about the illegality of proceeding onto blocked intersections - NSW (and Australian) Road Rule 128 covers it. The police could make a motza if they started enforcing that one around the CBD."

Kevin replied to Steven Lamb's discussion Nitrogen in my road tyres?
"CO2 leaks out even faster than air - good to get you home, but won't last overnight. Nitrogen does leak out lots more slowly - it permeates at about 1/3 to 1/4 the speed of oxygen (Are Nitrogen Molecules Really Larger...). So maybe you could…"

Kevin replied to Andrew K's discussion Sydney Southern commuter information
"The Muddy Creek tree roots have deteriorated markedly over the last month - wish they'd get on with it. There's also quite a few cracks in the path between Muddy Creeek and the M5 underpass that have been marked out for attention. On a…"

Kevin replied to Andrew K's discussion Sydney Southern commuter information
"The markings weren't there Sunday 8th, but were there yesterday 15th. Would be real nice to see the roots fixed, even if it has to be closed for a day or two."

Hi Kevin,
Rookwood to Kyeemagh sounds like a great ride!
I've managed to get lost after the Wollicreek area even though I've gone past there a few times, and yes yesterday was windy! My mate turned back after nearly getting blown off at Tempe.

Bike South West is the BUG in the Bankstown and Canterbury areas affiliated with BNSW and represent the voice of cyclists to the council, advocacy etc.
Naturally they need membership numbers to be able to hold any weight, in this regard.
Some info is on http://www.bikesouthwest.org.au/ and I'll be happy to send you more information if you'll or interested.

Regardless, thanks for making contact and I will be happy to catch up with a fellow active cyclist as I've been lacking in mileage and motivation myself during winter !
