Yep that's right, put them in the oven then put them on your feet to mould them to your foot shape.  You can shove em back in the oven as many times as you need to.  I only had to 'cook' em once to…Continue

On the June 2011 Queen's birthday long weekend I was lucky enough to participate in this inaugural event in Papua New Guinea.

I boxed my old 2009 Giant Defy One (Tiagra) road bike (didn't have my new 2011 Merida Scultura Evo Julett Ultegra bike at this stage) and wished my bike good luck on it's journey from Sydney to Cairns, Cairns to…

My city cycling transport blueprint!

Posted on February 18, 2010 at 9:24am 7 Comments

Riding a bicycle through city traffic is often dangerous enough to be considered an extreme sport, but a concept by architect, Martin Angelov, takes the thrill of city cycling to a whole new level – literally. His design proposes a new type of bike lane, based on steel wires and suspended up to 4.5 meters (14.5 feet) above the hustle and bustle found at street level.

About Me:
I ride at least twice a week (week-day mornings) 35-50km and try to get 4 rides in . If only time would permit I would ride more km's on two of my weekly rides. I like hill climbing.

Routes I do during the week are any of the following:-

Hornsby Turramurra (via Bobbin Head) return
Hornsby Pie In The Sky return
Cowan Mt White and beyond return
Hornsby via Gorge, Arcadia, Berowra waters return

Yearly rides:-

Rotary Club Erina Century Challenge
Loop The Lake
Tour De Hills
2011 Tour Long Malagan (Papua New Guinea) - Multi Day road race

I don't participate in the Gong ride because there are too many non-riders and it's too crowded to enjoy.

I use a Garmin to log stats.

Come Ride With Me

If you would like to come along on a week-day ride with me feel free to contact me. I can also do adhoc weekend rides. My average pace for my routes is 22-24km per hour - that's a solo pace ... group ride pace is faster (obviously!).
