Agreed. I think that she is setting an excellent example. I am looking forward to hopefully crossing paths with her on my commute so that I can give her a big smile and cheer.

That's correct - I sit in the 2nd from left lane in the section jutting out a little - so you get a head start on people going into the tunnel. The light sequences do suck - and I have noticed a few cyclists actually do a run with the traffic down…

I do a hook turn into the left lane of Anzac Pde - and go down the bus lane into Oxford Street.

I think that 60 minutes actually combined a few tapings together. I think maybe that filming of Keneally might have been done before she was premier - and so didn't have protection. Same with the Amsterdam thing - i think that might have been done w…

Uh, the link doesn't seem to work. Can you confirm working and point us dead brains to the incriminating bit please?

Apart from her government's rubbish support for cycling, I still think it's a huge gesture by the Premier to actually take the effort to cycle and talk it up as a viable form of transport. Good on her!

I was thinking about this and I think the Flynders Street thing isn't happening - i haven't seen any mention of it anywhere. I actually don't know how a path can be put down that street anyway. I can't see them taking a lane off that right hand side…

Need to check on this but looking at this article I think Kristen Keneally is looking to get a cycleway down Flynders maybe.http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/dream-ride-but-cycling-still-faces-uphill-battle-20100319-qma9.htmlI too would like a policeman / b…

Well they are putting in the cycleway down College now and a cycleway down Kent - so it would seem I won't have the pleasure of holding traffic up anymore with my 15kph. I hope they extend the green cycle lane down Park St - Druitt St down to Kent t…

Yes - that's what im talking about - slow traffic down - stop at red lights - ride in the centre of the lane - go slow.

Yes it is rather strange how when i stop at a red light - say a pedestrian one with no pedestrians crossing as they have already jay walked or something - all the cars look at me and wonder why I haven't gone through - then I hold them up for 10mins…

http://www.copenhagenize.com/2010/03/sit-up-straight-sydney.html Copenhagenize have jumped on the SMH story about riding Amsterdam bikes without helmets around Sydney. A lot has been said of Sydney's hills - but in many places in Sydney there are…

I think we need what they have in Melbourne where they have traffic lights that give bikes a head start. Go to 3.14 in this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNwxZmrJ8Nc That will bikes running red lights I feel.

Keneally does have a pretty easy run to work down Anzac Pde ive seen her a few times. She probably doesn't see the need for any improvement in cycling infrastructure - or most likely people might see her pushing her own pursuits down peoples throats…
