Yes, pretty much healed now - facial lacerations from the handlebar belting me in the face when I was on the way down - stitches out - face and mouth heals fast - learned a good lesson about changing commuting routes when the road conditions change.
Yes, I reckon a beer in summer would do it!
the inland route is up and down - but the downs are really good!
I have improved the route which I was initially given - including a nice green patch at Bardwell Valley under Bexley Road - is actually 5kms shorter than Chuter, but takes the same time - would be better for John riding home I think!
Lynda and I are going on for ride on Saturday and we would like to invite you to come.
Below is the link to the route which is:
Alfords Point Bridge - Panania - Milperra - Liverpool - M7 - Old Windsor Rd - Westmead - Parramatta - M4 - detour around the edge of Sydney Olympic Park - Cooks River - Saucer Creek - M5 - Penshurst - Como Bridge.
It's about 130 km, we expect to take 11-12 hours and expect to leave Loftus at 06:00
