DAY 9 SAN REMO TO PHILLIP ISLAND
Only 40km today but Victoria threw every kind of weather at us - pouring rain, buffetting winds and sunshine in relays. Seeing the crowd cheering us on at the finish was really exciting. I felt I'd achieved something.

DAY 8 MIRBOO NORTH TO SAN REMO
Headed for the coast again today but there seemed to be a million hills between here and there. When we did reach the coast, a 30k/h headwind made riding a chore mitigated somewhat by the beauty of the area. Rugged coastline from from Inverloch to Cape Paterson was beautiful. …

Was a great ride with plenty of fun people to chat to. For me, the social aspect is just as important as the riding, great to share a laugh and a smile with people you've never met before and probably wouldn't if you passed them on the street...that is the beauty of the Great Vic. That blue lanyard is the glue that binds us together as a kind of secret society (that and those bloody hills!!!)
Have Fun, keep smiling and happy riding....
