"Happy to be corrected. What's the current status regarding this matter?  Has the driver been charged yet?  What's his name?"

1983 Malvern Star Sprint 12

Posted on May 11, 2010 at 2:13am 4 Comments

So, I picked up a new toy a few days ago.

Well, I use the term "new" loosely. This "new " toy is 27 years old. But it's "new" in the sense that I'm the first consumer to have purchased it from the retailer.

It's a 1983 Malvern Star Sprint 12.

Robert, the IRD web site says they no longer ship to locations outside the USA but they say there are web stores which do stock their products. Do you know where I can find one?

Hi Robert, thanks for that. In the meantime (since I sent you the message) my LBS - Cranks North Sydney - sourced the supplier on the Central Coast and ordered the cassette. I also had read those threads but they seem inclusive about the IRD cassettes - though a tad worrying. I will be keeping the componentry that they remove from my bike so I can always go back to where I started from but I do think it's worth a try and I don't know where else I can get 32T in a 10 speed cassette.

Haha! Yes I sleep but not in 8 hour chunks. More of a 4x2 person.

My life is spread across Germany, Australia and Canada at the moment, and I have to suffer overnight conferences too.

Regarding your comments about http://nameandshame.blogsite.org/nameandshame/ but of course The Police are very interested in taking reports of drivers acting in a very dangerous towards cyclists and well take action?
