I have a road bike built from a second hand 'Olmo' steel frame and assorted shimano bits that someone gave me - it's very classy. And a Kona King Kikapu dual suspension mountain bike.
I'm a beginner to the road but loving it. I only do cross-country mtb and not very well either. Just looking to build my skills and fitness. I also dive and spearfish, so if I'm not on a bike....I'm usually in the water.
Hi Tanya, I am a beginner and haven't done much over 40km, you sound faster than me so I think you'll be fine. The others have been very accommodating of me and supportive. It's important you are happy to chat & laugh along the way !
Oh no! That would be great touring with you girls, but unfortunately I had planned to last feb. I'm now going to spain and might not be back in the country for this coming summer. It seems that now I'm going away, all these good things are coming up!
Still, I think most of the girls are keen for a longer ride, so we'll have to organise something soon. Perhaps we can ride to wollongong and pretend it's tasmania.
From Town Hall we wind about the city to Mrs Macquaries chair and then the Centennial park. all up is about 13 to 18km at a very very easy pace.
I'll be selling some stuff for the Tweed Run soon check www.rocketfuel.net.au and check your local vinnies too. the photos from the tweed run in london are great for inspiration. I'll be round next week if you need to chat about what you'd like to wear?
Hi Tanya, I'm going to bail because of this crazy weather we've been having. I was cycling around town today, and it was hard going against the gusty conditions. Next time for me! Let me know if you end up going ahead with the ride... :-)
