Surplus to hit $3.9B!! That's a lot 'o cash to be stashed in the bank.Budgeted cycling projects: "No new projects or infrastructure will be built in 2018-19. The government will spend $18.8 million…Continue
I've just started a new job back in the city and it's pleasing to see some great end of trip facilities. My building basement has a large secure cage with a pump, showers with free towels, and an…Continue
"I'm now working from home, so missed the demolition. Hopefully by the time COVID-19 is done, the new temporary on ramp will be complete.
Those Google folk are proactive, already the Google Maps routing tool takes into account that the…"
"Bob you should become a fortune teller. Hope it's just some skin off and the rider recovers quickly.
"They will come along and put some reflective tape on the poles and everything will be all right." Except they didn't -…"
"Yep, the southern side IC bridge shared path is still open, at least during normal commute time. I expect this will change at some point in the coming months, fortunately there is the northern shared path to use in the meantime (even though…"
"Earlier this week, I saw a cyclist coming east from City West link, under the Vic Rd car tunnel, and up the main approach to the bridge, before ducking onto the shared path at the soldier. Possibly trialing his new route??"
"Thanks for the info Bob. Thumbs up from me. The bay run improvements there are necessary, given the current squeeze between City West Link and the bay. As long as the diversion is safe, we should put up with a bit of inconvenience…"

Thinking about it, dangerous I know, putting cushions…"

Yeah no worries, assuming I can find it... I think it's a standard USA port that you can probably get from any computer shop, but if I find it I'll let you know. I have an SD card reader on my laptop so I always used that.
Ok no probs. Fitness is getting there, although I did get the train to work today for the first time since getting the bike. I still need my weekends off cycling to recover though - the friday night commute home is always a killer!
