Waterloo Green and the problem of the cycling path that turns out not to be a cycling path

This morning I was involved in the 'making sure we are all on the same page' (my explanation) The Share The Path event at Waterloo Green between Phillip & Raglan st. Recently the Housing Commission erected  blue signs forbidding cycling on the path between the two residental towers that connects the George st Cycleway. Like most people I took the signs as being an anti cycling backlash from someone somewhere. This was my way into the city and I never encountered a problem with the residents…See More

About Me:
discovered the illictness of cycling when 15 ,parents wouldn't buy me a bike ,discovered it again when 21 and bought a europa (wish i still had) for a job at unsw ,that didnt work out but did ride it down to caringbah from kingsford once where an italian roadie (out for the bank classic i think ) had a charming way giving me tips on how to ride .then when a lot of second hand bikes from tempe salvos when my daughter stareted with her first pedal bike at 7 .then my messing about with bikes was through her when she was about 16 and took up cycling as a sport(love affairs with bikes in international travel from 2006) then to now where the fuss about the cycleways back in 2010 raise my interest to a viable sydney thing to do and haven't look back since

We must never meet on a night ride or we'll never recognise each other. Maybe should start a group called Shadowy Characters or something; I notice quite a few have been photographically inspired by cycling shadows
