"The most expensive are from Schmidt. Shimano are cheaper. Shutter Precision (who also do the Supernova branded ones) are even cheaper. The SP efficiency claims are high. Higher than reality? Possibly, but I know people who have been using them and…"

"This should do the trick, but flipped over so point down and not getting in the way of my saddle bag. I have one of those reflector mounts kicking around at home. http://www.velocipedesalon.com/forum/f2/da-yno-um-31288.html"

"I'd recommend a Shutter Precision, get it quickly and use it a lot and then let me know how good or bad it is so I can make a more informed decision :). (sorry - I am thinking going SP because it is cheap and light, so, yeah worried about…"

"Never complained about my Sturmey Archer hub dynamo. It might have been a bit heavier than today's but certainly never missed a beat. Drag was barely noticeable."

"To call current dynamo options "back to the future" really doesn't do them justice - they are far better in every single way, more efficient, brighter, less drag and longer lasting."

"On another note... Anyone seen a Supernova E3 Pro 2 and/or an E3 triple? Is the triple really over the top for road? I don't really want a rear rack and the Supernova E3 tail light seems to be the only rear with a seatpost mount, but needs to…"

"great light Rob and it does very well charging the Garmin 800. I have not used the floodlight feature yet. I also need to test the charge and standlight function together when stopped, I'm suspecting that the light turns totally off but there…"

"I use an Etrex 20 for my touring etc, and while it's not providing the same feedback as an 800, it does provide a battery life of 20-25 hours with just 2 AA's.  Could that be a part of an answer?"
