Okay so if you can read the title you might be a chance of helping me out...I've been to Europe twice before - once to Berlin (famous for its wall, or now rather the lack thereof) and once to…Continue

One of the things I love about this site is how generally we're pretty accepting of differing views. Yes we might debate them rigorously, but there's a level of civility and decorum that's…Continue

baa baa said… Do many of the New Zealanders of Welsh origin living in Sydney like listening to Danish folk tunes with banjo backing?
PeterT said… Yes, that's one of the major strengths of SC, there is a whole lot of info here, and from everything from Chic to MAMIL rides, advocacy from Harbourlink to -H-words and much more.
RE: the changing the free hub, if I do proceed (there are other things high up the to do list atm) - it will likely happen about end of March.
MadameBike said… On that Ergon site, they have something that looks a bit like a large bum bag.....would that be OK? I don't like wearing back packs when I ride, it makes my back perspire.
I have been thinking about it, I think I can put a bag on the cross bar of the bike - like the ones the triathletes put there glucose snacks in. I am working on it. I think I will throw these bum bags away. As you said they are so "yesterday".

baa baa said… Sorry to be a pest and way off any SC topic but do you know the best way I can get flowers ( funeral type) sent to Blenheim ( nw coast sth island)?
I have had no luck going thu flower type companies in Christchurch.

Martin Geliot said… Interesting, I wonder what 7.1 richter and 2.2g really means in comparision to the prevailing standards.
I guess the fellow is saying the standards are intended to give a good chance of resisting.
The prediction part is also interesting.
I'm being told that stone w/o mortar does well, brick does badly UNLESS tied to a frame. The bricks must be tied to the frame tho, not merely the mortar as is done in Oz.
baa baa said… Howdo fella
Maybe of interest? A cyclist (really this lot are loons) with diabetes riding the Tour Divide. Shame about the bear
