Beer delivery

Last week, Toddler Dan turned two years old, so we had a birthday party. it was huge amounts of fun; large numbers of sugared-up toddlers charging about, pushing each other over and then wailing, a ridiculously large cake with butter icing slowly going rancid in the twenty-eight degree heat, and a whole load of thoughtful presents that were mostly broken within the…

Is there a frame builder in Sydney who would fit S+S or Ritchey Breakaway couplings to a Surly LHT? Which is the better coupling for touring?

Sydney-Melbourne 2 Safe routes

Somewhat aghast that charity riders and others are still using the dangerous Princess highway to Melb Please consider the following two routes on generally quite back roads. Some days there was virtually no traffic. Miss your trips and fruit cake Terry. A line per day is shown with some intermediate points…

Have you ever considered carrying an Epirb?

I would like to know if there are any other Mountain Bike riders who carry or have considered carrying a Personal Locator Beacon? I regularly ride tracks where my smart-phone has no signal and have considered getting a PLB in case the worst happens.

Every day of the eight days we spent in Bright prior to the Audax ride, the temperatures soared over thirty degrees.  The day of The Ride was no different with a predicted maximum of 36 degrees.  As the wimp of the group, I chose to enter the 70km ride which was simply Bright to the top of Mt Buffalo and return.  That meant that the ascent of Buffalo was done in the cool of the morning, with the mist still rising from the valley below.........…

Those who were there (Neil, Mr O', Matt_C, EMT,...?) please excuse yourselves from these..........  Here is the first photo....…

Tired Tyres

I hardly ever get punctures. Almost never. Just don’t believe in ‘em. The last time I had a puncture was in March, and the last time before that was – well, actually I don’t remember. In fact, I stopped getting punctures when I…
