Adventures With Babies and Bikes of a Ladies Persuasion

As any self-respecting cyclist would do upon the news that their first child was on the way, I immediately started investigating ways of transporting kids with bikes. Bar Taping

Got my Big Ring back!

As you can imagine, I was devastated last month to find out that my OEM gear cable had frayed and needed repairing.

My First Triathlon

For a number of years my wife Veronika and I have been following my father-in-law’s (Tom Valena) Ironman career, which he only started 10 years ago at the age of 49.

For those that don't know, an Ironman race is essentially a triathlon. In fact it was the first triathlon on which all others were based. The distances are enormous: Swim 3.8km; Cycle 180km; Run 42.2km (140.6 miles all up).

Blue Mountains trip

Saturday morning I and another rider went from Parramatta to the Blue Mountains for a ride via the M4. It was an enjoyable ride. Cut short due to an existing injury. Trained it back.

time: 2:34

avg speed: 23.2 Km/h

top speed: 59.k Km/h

temperature range: cold to damn cold
