The road back - 6 weeks off the bike is bad for you

Well I have been back on the bike for a fortnight. On Tuesday week I rode to work for the first time since the accident. It was good to be out there even though I was a bit saddle sore and I was back in time for things to get a bit Alfred Hitchcock as regards the magpies. As things progressed the commute got better and I was able to get to and from work and too and from TAFE without any serious problems.

The road back - second stage

I have begun the second stage of the road back. I decided to take myself shopping the other day and decided to check out the pricing on helmets. Given the last one prevented the prang from being worse than it was, I decided to get one from the LBS rather than go online. I got the feeling that the online price war has had it's effect on the local bike shops given one only stocked RJays and the others likewise had limited stock. Riding without Chamois

AKA my mish-mash blog of my Ebike  

I acquired a Gazelle FUENTE EM on 30.Aug


I added my dusty panniers that had been sitting in the garage for possibly the last 3 years and Monkey lights (thanks Rob!)

Pretty peeved there wasn't enough seatpost showing to attach the Fly6 and that Fly6 doesn't have a attachment for 'real' commuters with racks. Weird, ugly workaround in use for now.
