New outdoor cafe on the Cooks River

Dear Cyclists

I am very keen to spread the word in the cycling community about a new canteen operating on the south side of the Cooks River in Earlwood

Cooks River Canteen is located a mere 30m from the cycling track offering organic fairtrade coffee, Brasserie Bread jaffles and pastries and a range of cold drinks

With a large number of outdoor tables to rest at and soak up the riverside serenity, it will make a great pit stop on your weekend rides

The Bogan Way ? (don't believe it)

Another lovely weekend in the countryside with Bike. We (Bike & I) were doing a 200 km ride in the Central West, starting at 6am on Saturday in Parkes and travelling through Bogan Gate, Bedgerabong*, Forbes, Mulyandry*, Eugowra and back to Parkes, (* = "locality" which is a nice way of saying they don't really exist, although Forbes at 11am on Saturday is pretty empty too).…
