Did the park this morning. A bit chilli but as always, simply the best way to start the day.

Up to this point i've not really been worried about how fast i was riding, but simply that i was riding and that i was getting some KM's into my legs.

Last saturday during the DHBC slowies ride i put in for one lap and got around in 8:06. Miles away from being fast, but i was happy enough with that at this point.

So this morning, on my second lap round i kept the big gear running whilst i made my way up the hill and thought, i'll have a crack at beating the 8 minute mark.

I pushed about 70% as i still had 3 laps to go after this one and didn't want to burn out. I am proud to say that i got around in a new PB of 7:40.

Still MILES away from quick, but i'm on the improve and thats a great feeling. Next on my hit list, 7:30!! maybe next week, maybe this saturday!! :)
