If you look at the side-on photos, I think she does have a handle-bar mounted front light and a helmet mounted front light.  Just no tail light.  Still busted though.

You're right, my error, the lights aren't on, but they are there. I'll go back to deciding who to vote for!

Letter in the Harrold today about cyclists not using adequate lights in the Royal NP predawn. The writer also says motorists are doing 80 Km/h, which would be about right because the speed limit is 60 K now, at least in Lady Wakehurst up to Otford, not sure about the Bundeena Rd. Might be scope for a few letters in reply.

From the photos, looks like Ms Keneally is riding in Newcastle, along Scott and Hunter Streets, Wharf Rd (with the Brewery in the background), then maybe along Shortland Esp. A nice little loop around Newcastle and Civic train stations.

Timothy.  That's where I thought she was too.  Actually I think, when she is standing on the pedals, going up Shortland Esplanade, that you can see some red light coming from her helmet.  I think she may be wearing one of those helmet lights that shines white light to the front and red light to the rear - but it is not positioned very well.

I think if she continued up Shortland Esplanade, through King Edward Park, over to Bar Beach, down Parkway Avenue and took Stewart Avenue back to Scott and Hunter Streets, she would complete a reasonable pre-breakfast circuit.

Just guessing.

That is quite the circuit. I would be too tempted to extend it all the way up to Merewhether heights. Next time I visit my sisters I'll have to take the bike and give it a go. Last time on the mountain bike I only got as Merewhether baths before rain stopped play.

Bloody good on her!

Even if KKK can't find any money for cycling, Fatty Ol'Bastard doesn't know what a bicycle is, so dog help us when he gets in.

Why is anyone picking on her for being on a bike?

For once I have to agree with Neil!  ;-)

When yet another Labor scandal broke the news over the past year or so every one was saying the Libs were a shoe-in to win power.  I must say I am absolutely flabbergasted with the abjectly appalling announcements the Libs are making about what they will do when they take power.

I am not a dead set Labor or Liberal supporter but I can't believe O'Barrell really thinks the state will be better off with greater spending on roads and less on public transport.  He just does not seem to have a clue.

It scares the hell outta me.

they could be flashing lights, which just dont happen to be on at the moment the photo was taken.
