Cycling in Sydney Australia

Hey... long story short. When I was in sydney I bought a brand new "Speedwell Classique 10 Spd" at a furniture auction, (I call it brand new as the bloke bought it for his wife and she never got around to riding it and it sat in the garage all it's life). Just after the floods flowed through Emerald, this bike was stolen. Now the insurance company wants to know a value for it.. Where can I find this out?? I have been to every auction site and a while ago there were a couple but are no longer avail. If anyone can help, please let me know.. If anybody has one to sell, please let me know. Thanks Peoples

Not sure how much you paid... but second hand ones on line only seem to be in the $130 - 150 zone.

This is probably about right for two reasons. a) you can buy a new ladies cruiser bike for around $260 http://www.velogear.com.au/products/Women_s_Cruiser_Johanna_Demo-10...  and b) I am selling a couple of bikes through an auction house who reckon that second hand = 1/3 rd of the new retail price for bikes. So unless I am missing some point of antique value, then that would be my estimate. Sorry if that is lower than expected.
