So in our house I do night shift with the kids and DamianM usually does the early morning shift. Lately it's been good because he can catch up on any TdF footage that he'd been too tired for the night before. This morning I got up to see the three of them watching last night's stage and really talking about it, it's not the first time so I didn't think too much of it - Dad was explaining to Miles what was happening with the breakaway and who was in the peloton etc and Miles was lamenting that Cavendish wasn't going to win - I was a little stunned that a nearly 4 year old was taking this much interest but just thought he was just enjoying the time with his dad.
Next thing I know Miles has grabbed his scooter (bike was ejected from the house last week) and he's racing around the house commentating his own bike race where he is Cavendish and is clearly winning every race stage. Then he starts throwing in that he's wearing the Green Jersey and random race facts that he's picked up from his dad, I realise he's taking all of it in.
It was super cute and really provided some laughs for us this morning - we may have a future Tour contender in the house, although he seems more interested in the green than the yellow. :)

The kids in my cool new Rocket Fuel hats (thanks Susan!!) - Tilly has been insisting that the one she is wearing is hers and is not relinquishing it to mum no matter what!
