Hi all. Long time no speak!
As you most likely know, the Pro cycling season really kicks off this week in Adelaide at the Tour Down Under.
The event happens every year on the roads surrounding Adelaide, and has been getting bigger and better every year. It was the race that kicked off Lance Armstrong's comeback, and the only race he's definitely doing this year.
And this year Mark Cavendish will be racing.
Now, a lot of you know about my little boy Miles. He did a lot of riding on the back of my Bianchi when he was little. He began tearing it up on his balance bike when he was 2 (there are videos on the site to prove it) and now, at 5 he does 20km rides with me.
He's also a massive pro cycling fan. He's obsessed. He started watching the 2009 tour with me, watching the stage finishes with me in the morning before I would head out to work. He became a massive Cavendish fan and would re-enact sprint finishes on the balance bike down the hallway. You can (and really should) read more about his cycling obsession on Sammy's blog
This year Mark Cavendish will be at the Tour Down Under.
And so will Miles!
Miles and I are taking a boys holiday down to Adelaide for a few days to catch some racing and mingle with the riders in the lead up to the tour.
We're hoping to get some interviews with riders and will be posting a bunch of photos and videos on the site. I suspect I'm creating a future media star too ;)
So keep an eye out on the site for new stuff as we go tour crazy down under!
