Cycling in Sydney Australia

Lunch by the Rhine in one moment when I wasn't lost in more pouring rain. The rhine route is kind of well marked but miss one and here we go - lost again in the pouring rain. How hard can it be just to follow a river, well first find your river. Here is the very mouth of the old rhine at Katwijk aan zeeMy companion is not impressed Here is a bit more old rhine at alphen aan den rijn

Nice place to visit but...

This is the real rhine at Koln

This is where I turned off up the Mosel at Koblenz The peaceful mosell, its grapes all the way.Every scrag of land is under grape vines.

Now I am holed up in Hospental Switzerland near the Rhine glacier. Do I head out into the rain to slog up another 2000m pass to pay one last visit to that great river at it's source? Stay tuned

I'd take the moselle over the rhine any day, Nina

The Mosel is a dead. In the 60's it was locked up so really it is a series of lakes. The Rhine is still a swift flowing river.
