Well after much work and trying like mad to not go out and eat to my heart's content with friends at every opportunity I've managed to lose 5kgs in 3 weeks and getting the cycling miles up a lot with the help of Audax :)
Two weeks ago I did a 150km ride from Hornsby out through Kurrajong, Sackville, Pitt Town and back over 6hrs. Tomorrow I'm doing a similar route hopefully in a slightly better time.

All in all the training for the 1200kms for kids ride is going well, the second day is looking daunting at 272kms but with 10 weeks to go I'm hoping to be doing 200km rides each weekend for the 4 weeks leading up to the event.

As always anyone that wants to sponsor me the fundraising page can be found here, and thanks to everyone that has sponsored me already.

On the first of October there will also be a gala dinner with a charity auction at the end, the night will be hosted by Tim Webster and held at the Swissotel in Sydney, it would be great to see some Sydney Cyclist members there on the night. If you would like tickets they are $150 each, just drop me a line here.

Thanks Susan, really feeling good too and will be very happy to not have to drag that much extra up hills :)

What do you think contributed most to the weight loss? the food or the excercise or was it the combination?

So great that it is working, always much easier to keep going when you see results.

Honestly I think portion size is the thing, we get so used to massive portions that we think it's normal, but as soon as I spent a couple of weeks on smaller portions now they seem fine.
