Helen - you're raising the bar here, I sense?! Are we to get updated 'here's what I managed to buy by bike THIS time' posts each week? :-)

I think it's quite nice to see how a bike easily and usefully fits into daily/weekly routine. Keep it up.

I'm not fit enough to go very fast or very long distances on the bike but I certainly can shop ;) so I like being able to keep a record of what I manage to bring home on the bike :)

And I hope that if I do this for long enough my sister will get convinced into getting a bike too :)

We done Helen. It's a hell of a lot easier going to the shops by bike than trying to fight for a car parking spot. My family does all our shopping by bike plus about once a month we get a delivery from Woolworths Homeshop with all the bulky stuff like boxes of nappies, toilet paper, cans etc.

It's grocery-shopping, not an Olympic event (although now I think about it...!) - going fast is *not* a requirement. Best of all, shopping by bike means (1) being able to feel extra smug about yourself :-) and (2) perhaps being able to sneak in an extra <insert treat of choice here> to offset the energy you're burning in carting it all home!
