Winter School Hols, family ride

Now that it's school hols, had a great little ride with the kids and a friend from Galston from Newington Armoury out to Haslams Lookout on Hills Road. Apart from the M7 & Windsor Road, this is the only flat riding area I know of in Sydney!

The kids couldn't wait to get back to the fantastic new playground at the Armoury. I couldn't wait to get a steaming Cappuchino at the Armoury Cafe! The wind had picked up, and it was rather chilly!

They were a bit disappointed with the crowds that had arrived while we were out riding- so I would advise getting there 9am or earlier, and doing the ride later!

I have two teenage daughters, who really enjoyed the ride and the playground (had their little brother as an 'excuse' to play) But I thought it was quite sad to see that there were no other teenagers out there riding- just elderly folk & a few mums and dads with little kids.
