Cycling in Sydney Australia
I was given a Pro wireless cyclecomputer model SX4-W as a gift and found that it is not compatible with my existing front light which is a Planet Bike Blaze one watt.
When light is turned on to the blinking mode the cyclecomputer goes haywire.
Can anybody tell me if they have experience this problem or know of a compatible light and computer.

Have you tired wrapping the light in aluminium foil? Should work, in theory - Faraday cage.
If that does work, you could try disassembling it and putting the foil on the inside.

Comment by Paul on February 15, 2013 at 10:28pm I had the same issue with my NiteRider UltraFazer and my NiteRider Rebel computer, except the issue only appeared when the battery in the Light started to run low. In a way it was kind of handy as I always knew when to change the batteries!
I also had a similar issue with my Sigma DTS Wireless computer. It refused to pair with the wheel sensor when the UltraFazer was turned on.
I replaced my lights with Ay-Ups and have not had a problem since.

My NiteRider battery mucks up my Aldi wireless computer, so i moved the battery as far away from the computer as the cable would allow and that worked.
Comment by James Longbottom on February 17, 2013 at 4:19pm Thanks for all the helpful information and combining all your hints I finally solved the problem. Before I got on this Blog I contacted Shimano direct for help or some info about the problem, but they did not want to know about it and got "Its not a Warranty issue so we cannot help you" or try to move the two apart or buy a new light with no suggestions of brand or type. The bike shop did say they would refund 50% of the cost of the computer to purchase some thing from their shop if I returned it & the packaging in good condition.
I moved the computer and light as far apart as possible. On my bike that was approx 18cm.
I then double wrapped the entire light with ordinary kitchen alfoil, then wrapped aluminium tape around the alfoil The aluminium tape comes in a roll a little bigger then a roll of duct tape, and about the same width. It is mainly used as a insulator/sealer on flexible duct in the airconditioning Industry. The only reason I did not apply the tape directly on to the light is that I was not sure the tape it self would work and it can be difficult to remove at times. To replace the batteries I will just cut through the foil around the body of the light with a Stanley knife and the light comes apart.
