Good set of panniers, you will be a Dabba soon I expect. Somewhere on the ex Great North Road, maybe north of Wisemans Ferry? If it was all as level and wide as that we would be running B-double bullock drays on it still.

Yes, it's the Great North Road, about half way up the hill from the gate at Wiseman's.
Bad Dad! I willed the girls up there. I should have checked first. STRAVA says the climb from the bottom gate to the top gate is 1.7km at 7.7% average. It hurts when you have to do it with one hand on the shoulder of a 9 yo, pushing her up!
My new panniers were super handy - carried lunch, snacks, bits and pieces and all the kids back packs, hydration bags and various gadgets and knick knacks which they discarded one after another as the going got tough (about 5m after the bottom gate!).
It's beautiful country. I'd really like to do the whole length of it.
