WITWITF? (Where in the world is this ferry?)

The family went on a decently long ride today - almost 40km - 90% on dirt is decently long for anybody and the longest the family has ever done as a group.

Beautiful weather. Loads of goannas. No snakes. A few yellow tailed black cockatoos.

Unfortunately, we did not make it to our planned destination - the track got too sandy and boggy for the kids - we would have ended up wheeling the bikes and the kids would have lost it on the way back. We ended up 6 hours all up as it was.

We stopped in at another beach on the way back as a consolation prize. Nothing like a nice dip of the toes at a lovely little freshwater beach to ease pedal stresses on way back!

Dunno why, but I get a little buzz out of catching a car ferry by bike.

The ferry driver even gave us a 50% discount both ways - He couldn't have charged the four of us $2 each - that would have been more than if we went by car!

BTW, all the clues for the exact location of this ferry are on this page right now!

Certainly is a great location for family riding. Miles of pretty well maintained trails.

Virtually no hills :~)

Clues are there, err, umm, ahh, there are trees, boom gates and a 4WD.

Might be in Myall Lake as I`ve never been on this car ferry.

It`s between Lakes Rd and Mungo Brush Rd. And you statedit on your thread that you will be taking your family to there for school holidays. :)
