Hope you are able to read the map without the aid of the microscope I need these days. Geez they made it tiny! I really enjoyed researching the routes in Balmain -- some of the harbourside routes are superbly scenic but do you reckon they could shoehorn any more cars in there? Talk about wall-to-wall parking... See you again one Tuesday, maybe after DL saving ends and it is actually light in the morning at 5.45 when I need to leave Artarmon to get there.
Hey thanks for the comment. Yeah I'm healing up pretty well, my right shoulder is still a little sore, I might go get some remedial massage done now it doesn't hurt too much.
Skin is all healed up too.
My fitness is a bit of a worry, with my last 6 months of work I hadn't been riding much other than commuting, add in two weeks off the bike and I'm horrible shape.
Thankfully I'm working at home for a few weeks so I can turn that around.
Next step is get the bike fixed....thankfully I have more than one :)
Can you tell me what crank length you run on your fixie?
I' using some old 175's that I want to replace cause I keep touching when I pedal through corners. Was thinking most likely165's but was interested to hear what someone running a fixed casseroll was using.
PS glad you're likeing the new one - they are pleasant hey!
Wendy Carlisle, a journo with the ABC Radio National’s Background Briefing and a cyclist, joined SC a couple of days ago with Neil Irvine alerting me. I sent her a message about MHL, infrastructure (particularly HarbourLink and the recent RTA shenanigans) and road user behaviour and attitudes. She phoned me this morning as she is producting a program on bike helmets. We spoke for a good half an hour and wants to interview me this Friday on or near the SHB. I’m in daily contact with Neil Irvine (secretary, NSBG) and he has suggested you. Would you like to be involved? If you are, it’s probably easier for us to contact each other directly (and I can provide Wendy’s email address if she wants you to be involved)
BTW, last week I emailed David Cant, our architect, asking him if he knew you (I always enjoy your contributions).
Hope to hear from you. Thanks.

And nice to meet you! It's a small place Sydney, it seems. I saw your unusual bike, then saw you didn't have a helmet, and then my mind went bingo. It is nice to put faces to names, and cycle mad people tend to be easy going, so thought I'd chase you down. Sorry for the fright! See you around then.
Were you crossing the freeway ramp near narrenburn at around 8:40 this morning? I saw a salsa single speed coming in the other direction san saucer and thought...??? I was crossing in the other direction en route to MQ.
Btw: If you have time, please feel welcome to join in the cargo bike picnic this Sunday in Sydney Park, St Peters
