Hey Bob
Thanks for the message. The forum topics drop off the front page, and even the forums home page, but they are still there. You can search for them - http://www.sydneycyclist.com/forum/topic/search?q=epping

I also think my Leichhardt stint is coming to an end, the owners of this house are moving back in and I have to find somewhere else to live, I think it's time to buy, and I think it won't be Leichhardt.

Sure, Bob. I am happy for you to add my photos to your gallery. Can you download them from this site or do I need to send them?

Nice selection of pics there Bob. Pole-ishness seems rife on cycleways everywhere. I'll try to get around to uploading some other pics -- I have quite a nice one of a cycleway in Brewarrina. No pole in the middle, though.

BTW, in your caption to my pic it might be worth adding a comment on the unusual garden aspect. It could well be the only pole in the middle of a cycleway anywhere which has a garden bed across the path to it. I'd be keen to see/hear of another example, anyway.

Havent been for a ride this week, hip has been sore. Some sort of tendonitis in the glutes. Pain in the arse you might say. Physio recommends strengthening exercises and stretches. Anyway, have had almost two weeks off the bike but hope to go on the WWW ride this weekend. This is an annual LBUG two day ride, Windsor to Wyong or Wyong to Windsor, staying at Wisemans'Ferry on Saturday night. About 160 km all up. Bumble Hill up from Yarramalong is steep and a classic climb but this year we are going down Bumble Hill. A few years ago the last few coming down got hit by a hail storm to add to the excitement.

G'day Bob,

For your a future WWW ride, you might like to try a bit of a variation that includes some of my Hunter to Hawkesbury ride. Train to Hornsby - ride the old Pacific Highway to Greenmans Caravan Park near Marlow - arrange a week or 2 in advance for them to ferry you all to Spencer, then ride to Wisemans Ferry for the night. Off to Windsor the next day. The ferry trip is worthwhile, and the old Pacific Highway is worth the effort.

Hi Bob, I saw your message about Leichhardt Council. Do you know whether they are going to increase the bike parking at the Aquatic Centre? I regularly use that facility and, particularly in the afternoons and weekends, it is packed with bikes.

Bob, you haven't commented on my query about Cardrona and the climb to it in the Cycle tour of NZ discussion. I'm keen to know!

Oh, yes you have! But what was the condition of the road -- it has been sealed, has it not? They were talking about doing it in '99 when I was there -- Neil

Bob,

Still trying to work out how this site works!

I would love to do the Wiseman Ferry ride, new to riding in Australia, iBugs and it will be my first adventure! I intend to make it to the club ride next week, do I need to be a member up front or anything?

Thanks very much, Alison

I am enjoying your slowly disintegrating keyboard! Your posts are becoming more and more like crossword clues...!

I'm waiting until there's only one key still working, and you have to communicate in morse code...
