Ah, motorists displaying their envy again - they wish they could run red lights as safely as cyclists do.

Yeah... a "special" report. Just like all the other ones. Designed to inflame hatred and ignore the fact that more motorists do the same thing and worse. Don't watch it, it only encourages them.

Must be a slow news week.
The production team meeting probably went something like "there is a suppresion order on naming suspected arsonists........I know lets rev up the cycle haters and totally ignore the fact that motorists do as many or more illegal things but have the ability to create far greater carnage taht will get the punters to watch."

yawn...

The "cyclists accepted" signs in cuba seemed to work quite well.

they let us ride the wrong way down one way main roads.

j riding is safer than j walking.

If my bike had a 500hp motor, was 2m wide, had a hard metal shell and relatively slow to start and manouvre (ie My Bike was like a car), I wouldn't be jumping red lights as I'd probably hit a ped or cyclist or other car. As cyclists don't have a hard metal protective shell, and are vulnerable, but usually have better vision of gaps in the road, jumping a red light isn't going to kill anyone else. It is the cyclist that takes the risk, so why are drivers complaining? They are jealous and should just leave the car at home and join us. Usually it is better to jump the lights to get away from the cars than stay in from of them, get squeezed out and horns blown at.
