Hard to believe that lawyers can be so talented, I suppose you composed and performed the music too. I would stop now though as the next capital west is a good distance away.

Great trip, thanks for sharing and making me very envious. You found some very nice looking roads.

Hey Dabba you need to get a movie camera too.

Thanks Bill. It was a wonderful adventure to have while being (as a friend recently put it) gainfully unemployed. I’ll have to leave the western section for a little while I sort out the job thing. Would love to do the Matthew Flinders thing on my bike. As for the video Go Pro has a great app called ‘Splice’ with music choices. Rules of thumb. Allow about 2 seconds for a still, 3 seconds for speeded up (1.5) footage. A final observation. Rail Trails are fantastic!

Great video. Brings back memories of a few trips to those areas.

Bill, I can do the written word, not the visual arts. When you solve my last witwimb, I might condescend to send you a sample of my epistles of my current escapades. ;)

Niall, great journey and video....wow that Southern Coastline looks amazing.

I love a bike trip that tells a story even without narration, you video had achieved this by including the map shots of each leg. Made me feel like I was on this journey with you.

Although i'm pretty much new on this forum, I can't wait to see what you get up to next.

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers

Cheers Dave. I did want to try and create a sense of momentum and ‘travelling through’ with me. I am ‘between jobs’ at the moment so very lucky to have the time to do this memorable trip. The next ‘stage’ of that trip will be west or north. In the meantime I might get a week to ride up around Barrington Tops way... and I’ll be taking my camera, my GoPro and Suunto.

Niall, did you do any camping on this trip or was it mainly credit card touring with staying in motels and pubs?

A bit of everything Dave. I camped in caravan parks, park cabins, pub accommodation and the odd motel. Caravan park cabins are a great budget option.
