Hey Naomi, would be great if we could get to see this movie in Oz.

The www site had some pretty scary blogs about going nuts during the "race".

Also the slide show is well worth the sit down and scroll thru.

Some talk of doing an Aust one down the Bicentennial National Trail. You would need to be very keen to do that on a bike.

Yes I agree - I have just bought the DVD from their website.

I love reading about people's stories from events such as Race Across America and Audax rides such as the Paris-Brest-Paris.

I'll check out those links baa baa

Thanks Naomi, i didn't know the DVD was out yet I think I'll have to pick one up. I read Jill Homers account of it and it was just so inspiring. She is thinking of publishing a book on her experience of it. Her original book Ghost Trails is really good for making me want to get out and explore.

Yeah I have read that in mega endurance events participants start hallucinating stuff - I read about one crazy Bulgarian (I think Bulgarian) who always wins race across America but goes loopy thinking horsemen are chasing him etc!

My sister just did the Oxfam trailwalker in 36 hrs with no sleep - I saw a lot of ppl on the physical and psychological brink doing it. It's just amazing what the human body can do when really needed.

Have been reading a book about ultra enduro runners and it has some wacky tales in it. Super interesting and just amazing what the human body can really do.
When we signed up to do the 100 miles of nowhere this year there was a link so that on the day you'd be able to stream this movie live from the net, sadly our packs with the t-shirts and all the other goodies including the link didn't make it to Australia on time and so we missed the chance to watch this while riding the turbos.

Did you all see the link to request a screening of the film "in your home town". There were 6 requests from Sydney. I added mine.
