Wouldn't you just love to have a loop using this technology around Sydney?

No.

Put down the PRT koolaid. PRT has a sordid history as a wedge issue used by right-wing politicians and think-tanks to undermine public transport projects, and has no advantage over public transport (other than not having to mix with the general public) but a ton of disadvantages, and is not taken seriously by any transport planners.

And it's not about bikes, not even a little bit.

Colin, start thinking outside the square buddy, because if we don't it will be curtains for humans in this century, don't just take my word for it, ask any respectable climate scientist out there and they will tell you the same.

As far as Transport Planners are concerned the morons in Maquarie St haven't got anything on a guy like Martin Lowson, who helped invent the Saturn 5 rocket at NASA.

Not about bikes? I wouldn't be posting it on this site if it didn't have anything remotely to do with a Clean Green transport system, that might, just might help us get rid of the scurge of every bike rider in this country, namely the 1-2 tonne killing machines....

and I'm not on any Koolaid, very far from it, Yes Right wing think tanks always hate anything out of left field, that's just what they do.

There really are no disadvantages for this kind of system, Humans and animals in the end will be at a great Advantage, once we are free of the car and bus, Pedestrians and cyclists, kids and adults can live happily again in a polution free nirvana!

I'm a glass half full kind of guy anyway, as you can tell.

Colin is right though, it's not about cycling in Sydney, which is the topic of this site.

Comment by Aaron K on August 4, 2012 at 10:48pm

I agree, it's 'Not actually about bikes', per se

But, If we installed this system in Sydney, would it.

A. Be better for cyclists?

B. Not be better for Cyclists?

Anyway, I've made my point, you can flag me as a Troll now :)

Damian I promise i will not make do an more post's on PRT on this site, or any more reply's to this post.

Cheers and PS I really love this site, it's one of the best parts of my day, and I really mean that keep up the good work, to be honest I don't know where you find the time to do it.
